Forty percent of Millennials are “vacation movers,” moving to places for a temporary amount of time with no intention of settling down there—according to a study by Mayflower Movers. These vacation movers are temporarily relocating for new jobs, they’re job hunting, or they’re seeking a new lifestyle. Top moving destinations for their short-term stays tend to be major metropolitan areas with steep rents, such as San Francisco and DC. But it’s important to note that even more of the generation isn’t going anywhere: 47% of Millennials reported they’re still in their hometowns. (Forbes)
