Four out of five children don’t think social media companies are doing enough to keep them safe on social media, a U.K. survey has found. Inappropriate sexual content, self-harm, bullying, and hatred are reportedly too accessible to young consumers on both well-known and small platforms. Despite the risks, 87% reported feeling that they know how to keep themselves safe. However, parents are urged to be more aware of what their children are doing online, including the less-known apps they might use. (ITV)
