The Class of 2017 is about to enter the workforce, but they may need to take another look at their résumé before they press “send.” A new survey shows a divide between what employers want and what the newest class of graduates can offer in terms of background, interviewing skills, and salary expectations. According to employers, one third of all entry-level applications received are from unqualified candidates, and over half of employers believe even qualified candidates aren’t asking the right questions in interviews. Recent grads are also expecting an average of $8,000 more in starting salaries than employers are estimating. (WSJ)
