If excited teens are any indication, Disney is going to have a good year. According to Piper Jaffray, Beauty and the Beast, Star Wars, and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 are the number two, three and four most anticipated movies among U.S. teens—pointing to “another solid 12 months for the Disney studio.” The brand’s recent deal with Netflix to make it “the exclusive U.S. pay TV home of the latest films from Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and Pixar,” is also likely resonate: Netflix came out as the top video platform for U.S. teens, ahead of YouTube and cable.
