Some Millennials don’t have the option of ditching cars. A new study from Montana State University’s Western Transportation Institute found 87% of Millennials who live in Minnesota, Montana, Washington State, and Wisconsin (areas where public transit options are slim and less reliable) still prefer driving themselves to work, and just over 1% prefer the bus or bicycles. Whether they would like to be ‘car-free’ is unclear, but it is clear that “people will almost always travel the fastest, cheapest, most pleasant ways they can.” (WIRED)
