First-time Millennials homeowners are “focused on building equity – not debt.” A new survey from Better Homes and Gardens found that instead of shelling out big bucks for a high-end home or professional renovations, Millennials are choosing to stick to a budget: 50% of 22-39-year-olds say their first home needed at least some repair when they moved in, and three of four have done some degree of DIY in their home. Painting walls, installing tiles, and installing lights are at the top of their interior DIY to-do lists. (ConsumerAffairs)
