Kik users have sent chatbots almost 2 billion messages on the platform. Since Kik launched their botstore, inviting developers to add their own chatbots to the network in April, users have sent 1.8 billion messages to “brands, entertainment companies and publishers.” The messaging app reports that 60% of their chatbot users are 13-19-years-old and skew mostly female. The high engagement is good sign for brands using bots to open up a conversation with young consumers and reach the digital generation. (Adweek)
