Millennials are presenting a paradox when it comes to investing. A new BlackRock survey revealed that 70% of 25-36-year-olds keep their savings in cash rather than investing, and 46% believe investing is too risky—but further data is showing there is more to the story. Almost half of Millennials say investing is for people like them (more than older generations), and 65% feel positive about their financial futures. Millennials’ entrance into investing has been limited by not only student debt, but by lack of investment knowledge and trust in financial advisors. Many are open to financial advice however, and 58% say they would be interested in robo-advisors. (BlackRock,NerdWallet)
