Fruity Pebbles’ latest ad is an immersive VR experience. As part of its “Yabba Dabba Doo” campaign, Post released a 30-second pre-roll ad takes users through “a series of colorful, vibrant activities like painting a mural and jamming with a garage band.” While most brands’ VR marketing “drop[s] the user into an environment and let them explore,” this ad is a “guided, deliberately organized experience.” The brand says that VR creates the same kind of “overload sensory experience” that a bowl of Fruity Pebbles does.
