British Millennials leaving home to live on their own might not be prepared to do their own housework. A survey of 22-year-olds in the U.K. by flat sharing site weroom.com revealed that when it comes to household chores, they’re mostly “useless:” one in five said they don’t understand dishwashers, don’t know how to clean ovens, and aren’t sure on how to use the washing machine. About one in three also admitted to not knowing how to cook a chicken. However, the digital natives have it covered: one in three said they would use Google to figure out how to do something, and turn to YouTube for more complicated problems. (Marie Claire UK)
