A new animated comedy short developed with virtual reality is planning to win over viewers’ hearts and minds. Invasion!,created by some major “film industry veterans,” follows the story of two aliens planning to take over the earth but first have to get past two cute bunnies. To inspire empathy, viewers are fully immersed into the experience with VR headsets and actually play the role of one of the bunnies, seeing a bunny body when they look down. The film is the first of its kind, and hints at the way that VR could transform entertainment, and the different kinds of storytelling the technology allows. ([a]list)
