Hulu is partnering up with AwesomenessTV to attract Gen Z viewers. Research by AwesomenessTV found that 70% of 12-24-year-olds prefer to stream their content over watching a linear broadcast, and their new 10-episode series Freakish will stream exclusively on Hulu. The show, starring social media and TV celebrities, follows high school students who have to fend off “predatory mutant creatures.” Hulu has also obtained exclusive streaming rights to two AwesomenessTV documentaries: Snervous, about YouTube star Tyler Oakley, and mockumentary Janoskians: Untold and Untrue. (Kidscreen)
