Older and younger Millennials take different approaches to online privacy. When it comes to social media, a recent study has shown that younger Millennials are more careful: 75% of 18-24-year-olds say they are extremely unlikely to offer personal information such as their birth date, real-world address, or social security number on a social media profile, as opposed to 53% of 25-34-year-olds. The study also found that older Millennials are more likely to have experienced online security problems and are looking for additional online protection than younger Millennials, who feel less confident about being protected on the internet.
