Victoria Secret model Karlie Kloss wants teens girls to learn to code. Kloss has founded Kode with Klossy, a coding camp that will teach the fundamentals of Ruby and Rails, as well as challenge the campers to create their own web app. Kloss was inspired by her own coding courses at the Flatiron school, who has partnered with the model on her venture. The curriculum focuses on creative projects like music and app building to inspire young participants. Kloss describes coding as “empowering” and says,”these different young women…have amazing ideas and they're just totally uninhibited with what they think of or dream of or hope to build.” (Fast Company)
