After almost nine years, the most interesting man in the world is retiring. Dos Equis is planning to revamp their “Most Interesting Man” ads over the next few months, bringing a younger actor on to continue the role “to keep their edge for a new generation of customers.” Since the campaign’s inception, business has tripled, and Heineken predicts 25% of its future growth will come from Dos Equis. But the brand says: “Our Millennial drinker has changed quite dramatically, and the competition has only exploded with the advent of craft (beer). We just want to make sure that the (Most Interesting Man) story evolves.” (USA TODAY)
