Facebook may be growing into more of a video hub, but some brands are looking outside of the network to monetize their content efforts. Tasting Table reports that their ability to monetize on the social network is non-existent, putting them at the “mercy” of the platform until Facebook comes up with an ad revenue model. The publisher, which had 3.7 unique visitors in January, has reworked their strategy to focus on their own platforms, including an Apple TV app. That app will be bundled with restaurant search app Dine to bring more awareness to Tasting Table, and feature longer content for the “sit back and relax on the couch” mindset.
