Macy’s is partnering with YouTube network AwesomenessTV to create a Gen Z focused clothing line, which will be featured on the show Closet Wars. The mobile video series will star twin YouTube stars Vanessa and Veronica Merrell who have 700,000 subscribers on their own channel. For Macy’s the collaboration is the best way to reach their audience: “YouTube is a channel that this customer visits frequently and loves, so we know that connecting with her here with fun fashion content is a great opportunity to relate in a way that is authentic to her life and style.” (Mobile Marketer)
