In the increasingly crowded streaming space, more platforms are moving beyond music to capture young consumers. Spotify announced their plan to add video to the app last year, and that content is now live. Tidal and Apple Music currently include music videos, but to potentially increase their piece of theMillennial media pie, Spotify is including non-music related videos from top networks like Comedy Central, MTV, and ESPN, as well as featuring podcasts—which most steaming apps don’t have.
