Millennials and teens have broadcasted their desire for brands to embrace the body positive mentality, which Aerie did when they launched #AerieREAL, and vowed to stop retouching models in their campaigns. Their latest ads feature 19-year-old “curve model” and social media star Barbie Ferreira, the “Queen of In-Between” and a beloved plus-size role model for teens.
