Banner ads & pre-roll as we know them could be a thing of the past as digital marketing evolves to adjust to young consumers' attention spans, and Mountain Dew is the latest brand to try and create pre-roll that doesn’t get skipped. The two minute ads are “devoid of Dew imagery” and show NBA star Russell Westbrook doing a “powerstance” move through random scenes in a neon green suit. The brand hopes the ads are “quirky and mysterious enough that people watch it till the end,” and click through to watch the full traditional commercial. (Creativity Online)
