Millennials can’t afford cars, but do they care?

Sep 10 2015

Millennials can’t afford cars, but do they care? Some argue that young consumers simply say that they aren’t interested in cars because they can’t afford them. Millennial men especially have seen a drop in income among 24-35-year-olds that leaves them with less to spend than previous generations. But the counterargument is that though economics may have shaped their preferences, “both these things can be true: The median 25-to-34-year-old has less to spend, and is less interested in spending it on a car.” (Bloomberg)
