The graduating class of 2015 could be the “luckiest in decades.” The unemployment rate is currently 5.4%, which is below the average of the last 40 years. Graduating into this environment will likely put them ahead of their older peers, who weren’t so lucky, in terms of the wages they earn over their lifetimes. We should note that nearly half of last year’s graduating class feel they are currently underemployed, and many employers are not prioritizing entry-level positions. (WSJ)
