E-retailer Net-A-Porter is just as surprised by the athleisure trend as you are. After launching Net-A-Sporter last summer with no extra budget, the activewear arm has grown so much that their sales numbers are now comparable to the rest of the site. Net-A-Sporter has grown from carrying 16 to 61 different brands, and also confirms that the majority of people shopping for activewear aren’t planning on breaking much of a sweat, with a 60-to-40 ratio of lifestyle shoppers versus athletes.
