If you spent any time on the internet in the past few days, April Fool’s could not go ignored. It seems like every brand threw out a marketing stunt, including some that might have missed the mark, like Kotex’s left handed tampon, Reebok’s “sweat” fragrance, and Hulu’s “Hulu Pets.” While brands seem to love the holiday, we should warn that Millennials are already afflicted by prankvertising fatigue, and the overabundance of April Fool’s hoax marketing has made it very hard for brands to stand out.
