Finding a job hasn’t been easy for Millennials since coming out of the recession, and it’s especially difficult for veterans of this generation to find steady work. Veterans between 18-34-years-old face higher jobless rates than their non-veteran peers, and have been for the last seven years. The fact that military skills are hard to transfer into everyday life and that a number of those who have served suffer from PTSD contribute to this discrepancy, which is a huge problem, as in most cases, veterans’ disability benefits are not enough to live on.
