This spring break, Aerie is joining other champions of “real real women” like Dove, Pantene, and Always with their “Love Your Real Selfie” effort targeting Millennial 20-somethings. The campaign kicked off with the world’s largest unretouched selfie, featuring 1,000 Aerie-swim clad women on Miami Beach. There is a reason brands are embracing body-positive marketing: a recent survey found that 52% of women have bought a product based on how the company presented women, and that campaigns of this nature could be remembered by at least 92%.
