The Walking Dead took the top spot, with and average of 576,000 tweets per episode, andPretty Little Liars came in at number three with an average of 489,000 tweets. The top TV specials were The Oscars, The 56th Annual Grammy Awards, and the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on MTV. While social media activity clearly doesn’t speak to ratings, it is a good indication of what programming is the most engaging for audiences. (Fortune)
