The delivery economy is heating up in other ways as well: Amazon has entered the local food delivery competition, becoming a potential challenger to GrubHub, Seamless, and the like. The e-retailer’s takeout ordering service Amazon Local was “quietly” launched this week in Seattle, where users can browse restaurants and place their orders online using their Amazon accounts.
