We know plenty of Millennials plan to shop on Black Friday, but are they “to blame” for stores opening on Thanksgiving?

Nov 17 2014

We know plenty of Millennials plan to shop on Black Friday, but are they “to blame” for stores opening on Thanksgiving? A national survey found that roughly half of 18-24-year-olds say, “stores being open all day Thanksgiving is a great idea” compared to just one-third of the overall population. But the fact that this demo is more likely to enjoy shopping in general should be taken into account. It also likely depends on how you ask them: another holiday poll found “77% of Americans ages 18 to 39 said that “retail stores should not be open on Thanksgiving Day so that employees can enjoy time with their friends and family.” (Time)
