In light of the We Heart It survey, it’s not surprising that another recent study has found that 43% of parents in the U.S. and UK feel social media risks outweigh benefits for their children. In comparison, 26% felt that the positive impacts were greater. 76% of those parents whose children have a social media account said they were concerned about their child seeing inappropriate content online, and 69% worried about them meeting a stranger. These fears have them checking in digitally: 78% have logged in to their child’s account to see what they were posting. (Mediapost)
