The next big young adult book could very well become a major film or franchise, or even a cultural phenomenon like Twilight or The Hunger Games. So what will young adults will be reading next? YA fiction experts say the book trends for 2015 include heavier topics, mystery and horror, and a category called “New Adult” which features more grownup “sexy” story lines. There is also a major movement for more diversity in young adult novels, with an increase in underrepresented characters. (CNN)
