Influencers took over the Golden Globes red carpet last night.

Influencers took over the Golden Globes red carpet last night. While award shows have typically been reserved for Hollywood stars, TikTok, YouTube, and more social media stars took part in this year’s (returning) Golden Globes event. Gen Z and Millennial favorites like TikToker and podcaster Josh Richards, YouTube couple Aleena and Noel Miller, TikTok’s Corporate Natalie, and Liza Koshy were among those who attended the awards. YPulse’s Celebrities and Influencers report shows that Gen Z and Millennials say they care about online celebrities more than they care about TV / movie actors and over a quarter consider online celebs to be the most relatable. So having these gen’s favorite influencers be part of traditional media events might keep them interested, even though awards shows are not a top pop culture moment for these gens. (E! News)
