This holiday’s marketing includes some branded random acts of kindness, and Uber is joining in. The company is racking up some (much needed) good will with a festive charity stunt in London and Manchester that offers free taxis to transport goods to food charities and homeless shelters in the cities. Users who want to make a donation can swipe “giving” in their app, and a car will be sent to pick up their goods. In exchange for generosity, donators are being given Christmas stockings filled with chocolate provided by Lindt. (Brand Republic, Uber)
