NBCUniversal and Target are collaborating for a film series that spotlights BIPOC voices.

NBCUniversal and Target are collaborating for a film series that spotlights BIPOC voices. The media company is teaming up with Target and producer Will Packer, whose credits include Girls Trip and Straight Outta Compton, for a “Scene in Color” film series that will feature short films by three emerging Black filmmakers: Addison Wright, Ewurakua Dawson-Amoah, and Kristian King. The shorts are set to air during movie nights on NBCUniversal’s Bravo, Syfu, and USA channels as well as digital properties like the NBC One App, Rotten Tomatoes, Fandango Movieclips, and streaming service Peacock. The filmmakers will also have a chance to develop a TV pilot script, and through a grant from Target, Packer will continue to mentor them. (Deadline)
