Facebook is introducing Live Shopping Fridays with major makeup and apparel brands. YPulse’s shopping and retail data shows that 51% of 13-39-year-olds are interested in livestream shopping post-COVID, and more brands have started integrating livestream shopping in their digital strategies. To make the trend more mainstream, Facebook is kicking off a three-month long Live Shopping Fridays event with Alleyoop, Abercrombie & Fitch, Clinique, and more. Starting this month, brands will host 30-minute live shopping events on Facebook where they will show product how-tos, offer expert styling and makeup tips, and more during their segments. The shift to online shopping during COVID has created new trends in ecommerce, giving retailers better reach and data points about their consumers. (Digiday)
