The NBA is launching another $3 million in grants to support Black communities. In the last year, brands have made pledges to support Black Lives Matter—but most young consumers tell us that not enough has been done to support the movement in a meaningful way. Following through on anti-racism promises made is essential, and donating to racial justice organizations is one of the top ways Gen Z and Millennials want brands to step up. The NBA previously announced that it was pledging a $300 million commitment over ten years to assist underserved communities, and now they’ve announced a set of $3 million in grants to support firms in creating employment and career advancement opportunities among Black people.
