Food is the new merch for influencers and creators. Sure, top influencers have created beauty brands and clothing for years, but many of them are building their empires by trying their hand at “culinary ventures.” David Dobrik is supposedly launching his own pizza business, Emma Chamberlain launched her own coffee brand earlier this year, Zach Konfeld released loose leaf tea, and Keith Habersberger of The Try Guys debuted hot sauce. Others, like Kelsey Calemine who just launched Father Foods, are “harnessing” the ghost kitchen concept by starting food delivery services. Since “Food is one of the most popular content categories on YouTube,” the “culinary merch” trend does make some sense. (Tubefilter)
