Parents wish school was cancelled until spring—but in the meantime, they’re stocking up on safety gear and tech gadgets. We found that most Millennial parents are afraid to send their kids back to schools in person, and according to a Harris Poll, 57% of parents want schools to be cancelled and reopened in the spring instead of having to choose between in-person schooling or hybrid schedules. The majority are worried about health and safety, and 58% report their child’s mental health is the top concern. With the fall semester starting up, families and schools have been stocking up on supplies for at-home and in-person learning. Protective gear like plexiglass, tents for outdoor classrooms, and tech like noise-canceling headsets and “studio-style webcams” have been high in demand. (WSJ, Fast Company)
