Meanwhile, beauty brands and influencers are already using Instagram’s livestream shopping. Online shopping is getting more engaging for young consumers staying out of stores, and livestream shopping is beginning to take off. Instagram Live is incorporating “shoppable capabilities” onto the platform, and brands like Dragun Beauty and U Beauty have wasted no time hosting “shopping-enabled” events this summer. Influencer Nikita Dragun brought in nearly 43,000 of her 8.3 million followers to a Live Shopping video showcasing her brand’s DragunFire Color Corrector. The livestream drew 33,000 product page impressions, while 5,000 products were added to viewers’ shopping bags. YPulse’s new shopping and retail survey found that 51% of young consumers are interested in livestream shopping. (Glossy)
