Millennials are being hit with nostalgia and “teenage angst” as they quarantine in their childhood homes. YPulse found that 20% of 19-37-year-olds had to move in with family to save money during COVID. While many of those young adults have been riding out the pandemic in their old homes for the last few months, they feel caught in a “time capsule” and are rediscovering their “inner child.” Surrounded by Disney décor, diaries, postcard collections, and instruments from their past, teen-era emotions and “insecurity” are being dredged up with the old belongings. But the savings many are able to bank by living with parents is worth the awkwardness. (NYTimes)
