Mattel is making action figures of doctors, nurses, grocery workers, and delivery drivers to honor essential workers of the COVID crisis. To show young consumers they care, the toymaker is launching #ThankYouHeroes—a new collection of Fisher-Price action figures and Little People characters designed to represent “everyday heroes.” All net proceeds from the toys will be donated to FirstRespondersFirst, a fund for frontline healthcare workers. The brand hopes that “toys, and play in general, can ultimately make these difficult times easier for both kids and adults.” (Business Insider)
