Networks say their reality series can outlast the COVID-19 crisis. As many film and TV show productions have been forced to halt their productions, the one category that is well-stocked are reality series. Cable networks like HGTV, TLC, Bravo, ID, Food Network, Discovery, We TV, E!, History, and A&E have all fared a months-long production shutdown relatively unscathed. While confessionals and reunions that haven’t been filmed yet might be affected, some reality stars are actually able to film themselves at home to make up for it. Streaming services have been ramping up their reality content as well, and Netflix shows like Tiger King and Love is Blind have been hits with quarantined viewers. Stella tapped stars from the latter in a social campaign to help engaged couples affected by social distancing. (Variety, Business Insider, Marketing Dive)
