We’re sad to learn that youth voter registration and engagement are down; only half of 18-29-year-olds are registered to vote, which is the lowest number in 16 years, and of those, only 63% say they definitely plan to vote. Moreover, only 18% of this age group say they are following the election very closely whereas 35% were in 2008. However, efforts are being made to engage youth such as Tumblr creating live-gifs of the presidential debates. (Pew) (Mashable)
