Why are teens partying less? Because they’re spending less time in person overall. Face-to-face hang outs are being traded in for digital friendships, meaning partying isn’t needed for socializing. And as for boredom—today’s teens have plenty to keep them entertained. One 17-year-old sums it up: “Now we have Netflix—you can watch series nonstop. There’s so many things to do on the web.” (Wired)
