Gen Z is less likely to drink beer as they age up, with white males leading the generation’s consumption—which is bad news for the beer industry. According to a report from Berenberg Research, 16-22-year-olds prefer wine and spirits to beer (and we've found 21-35-year-olds agree). The only demographic that still chooses brews over booze and vino? White men. However, they’re still drinking less overall while women and minority groups are catching up in alcohol consumption.
