Utah has signed the first “free-range parenting” law in the U.S. The new law will protect parents from being accused of neglect for allowing their children “to engage in independent activities” like staying home alone, traveling to and from school, or playing outside. The new initiative could be seen as a push against helicopter parenting, which Millennial parents are leaning away from. (WP)
