Kano has created a Harry Potter wand that teaches kids how to code. After building the wand, kids can complete 70 coding challenges based on the Wizarding World, like transfiguring toads and making feathers float. But instead of saying “wingardium leviosa,” they use wand movements to create magical effects on their screen via a connected app; for instance, “lift the wand and owls [could] appear.” The product taps into both the STEM trend and Harry Potter’s undying fandom.
