Teens are getting around town on electric scooters, thanks to buzzy startups with lax age enforcement. Bird and Lime, two scooter startups, are meant to be 18-and-over but only enforce the age via a user agreement. One teen who racked up 400 rides just this summer explained “they’re much cheaper than Ubers, and you look pretty cool.” Plus, Gen Z is less likely to get driver's licenses than older generations.
