Young voter turnout jumped ten points this midterm election. Preliminary data from The Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement shows that 31% of 18-29-year-olds cast their ballot—the highest in at least a quarter-century. Part of what’s driving young people to the polls could be the push from some of Millennials’ favorite celebrities, like Taylor Swift, whose pro-voting Instagram went viral.
