Over eight in ten parents let their young children watch videos on the site, and the The Pew Research Center’s findings confirm rising concerns about content safety on the platform. Additionally, 81% of YouTube users in the survey said they watch the videos YouTube recommends after their current video, which means they’re letting the company’s algorithm (which is at the center of consumer concerns) curate their content.
